Michigan Libertarian chair Interviewed by Public Radio

Justin Miramonti, chairman of the Libertarian Party of Michigan, was recently interviewed by Central Michigan University Radio Station, part of the National Public Radio Network. Click here to read the story.

The interview centered around the Libertarian Party’s search for a candidate for a special election for state senator in Michigan’s 35th district.

“I think it’s important for voters to have as many choices to run, but certainly a viable third choice is essential when two parties control most of the narrative in this country,” Miramonti told the press.

According to Miramonti, their candidate will advocate for non-aggression, minimal government, and maximum freedom-tenets of the Libertarian Party.

The radio station plans to cover the special election in detail, and will be involving the Libertarian Party.

The candidate for the Libertarian Party will be selected by residents of the district at an upcoming special convention to be scheduled for January.

Recently the Libertarian Party of Michigan interviewed Ali Sledz, a resident of the district who is very interested running for the position. A recording of this special informational meeting can be found by clicking here.

Any other residents of the 35th district who are interested in being considered by the delegates can email leadership@michiganlp.org to explain why they are interested, and how they are qualified.
