LPMI Passes Resolution Regarding the 2026 US Senate Election in Michigan

WHEREAS the Libertarian Party of Michigan (LPMI) is aware of statements by failed 2024 MI
GOP Senate candidate Mike Rogers noting his interest in returning to such a campaign in 2026,
and
WHEREAS LPMI executed a competing Senate race in which candidate Joseph Solis-Mullen
successfully covered the spread in votes between Rogers and his Democratic challenger, Elissa
Slotkin (who likewise does not defend Americans’ Constitutionally-protected liberties, but does
not claim to do so while supporting anti-libertarian policy) owing to Mr. Solis-Mullen’s and
LPMI’s efforts and appeal, outperforming other top-of-ticket candidates in Michigan, and

WHEREAS LPMI opposes the continued selection of candidates broadly in support of policies
anathema to libertarian values, such as engagement of the US in foreign wars, interference in
personal decisions regarding relationships, substance use, or purchases, and support for
massive increases in government spending,

BE IT RESOLVED that LPMI intends to reprise its role as spoiler against any candidate fielded by
either party of the US political duopoly who claims to defend liberty while routinely acting
against such interests through their deeds, focusing our efforts to ensure those races most
heavily impact the election.
