Libertarian Groups Busy at Local Summer Events in Michigan

Several local Libertarian groups throughout Michigan have been busy this summer promoting the Libertarian Party of Michigan.

The events continue into September, when the Libertarian Party of Wayne County sponsors a table at the Dally In the Alley on Saturday, September 6th. This is the state’s largest street fair, located in the city of Detroit.  The Libertarian Party needs at least one volunteer from 6:00 AM to 11:00 AM to enable setup and reservation. They also need helpers at the outreach booth for as long as possible from 11 AM to 9 PM. Email ScottyEducation@yahoo.com, call (313) 247-2052, or text (313) 338-9769.

The Libertarian Party of Wayne County is also sponsoring an affiliate picnic for all members on September 13 from 11-8 at Nankin Hills Park in Westland. For more information, click here.

In northern Michigan, the Upper Peninsula Libertarian Party went to the Alger County Fair in early August. They worked hard to obtain signatures for AxMiTax, a citizen ballot initiative to eliminate property taxes in Michigan.

The Straits Area Libertarian Party in northern Michigan also had a booth at the Cheboygan County Fair in August.

The Libertarian Party of Oakland County had a booth at the Woodward Dream Cruise in August, which they have done for several years.

The first event of the season was back on July 4th. The Libertarian Party of Livingston County had a lady liberty float in the Independence Day Parade.
