Libertarian Party of Michigan Denies Margin of Victory to “Deep State” Mike  Rogers, but Trump Benefits from Lack of Support for Chase Oliver

— Trump’s willingness to make freedom-oriented concessions to the Libertarian Party won him the votes he needed in  the battleground states of Michigan, Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, and Georgia –

Because the Michigan Republican Party chose a pro-war, pro-spying, pro-spending U.S. Senate candidate — namely, Mike  Rogers instead of former Libertarian Justin Amash — the Libertarian Party of Michigan was able to run an effective race in  opposition, which denied Rogers the margin of victory he needed in Michigan. Nationally, the Libertarian Party’s weak  showing in the presidential race delivered the margin of victory to Trump in battleground states. By denying Rogers the  1% of the vote garnered by Senate candidate Joseph Solis-Mullen, the Libertarian Party of Michigan acted as kingmaker.

For those not paying attention, the Libertarian Party invited Donald Trump to its national convention in Washington, D.C., in May. There, Donald Trump vowed to include a libertarian on his cabinet, free the unjustly imprisoned Ross Ulbricht,  oppose a central bank digital currency, and oppose the bi-partisan deep-state Uniparty’s lust for war. Consequently,  Trump received the extra votes he needed to win in the battleground states (1% to 2.5% of the votes). The highly  disputed candidacy of socially progressive Chase Oliver garnered only 0.4% of the vote, a fraction of past LP totals.

Mike Rogers should not have run as the FBI version of the deep-state against Elissa Slotkin’s CIA version, which gave  Michigan voters no substantive choice other than one of them wearing a dress (at times) in public. The Libertarian  Party’s candidate for U.S. Senate, Joseph Solis-Mullen, described the flaws of the Rogers/Slotkin twins many times:

Foreign Policy – Every foreign threat we now face was caused by our government’s meddling overseas. It created dozens  of enemies and led to blowback terrorism, endless spying by our own government, and financial bankruptcy. Rogers  broke trust by supporting the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA), the Authorization for Use of Military Force  (AUMF) against Iraq and Afghanistan (based on oft-repeated lies). Rogers also supported the training of so-called  “moderate rebels” to use against Syria’s President Bashar al-Assad in a regime-change attempt; in the past, this policy  created terrorist groups such as the Mujahideen in Afghanistan, which mutated into al-Qaeda.

Manipulation, Spying & Secrecy – Censorship, travel delays, searches, and spying are the natural result of the Uniparty’s  foreign policy. Would it be any worse if we were ruled by a foreign power? The Uniparty treats citizens like the enemy,  but hides its own actions behind the all-purpose excuse of “national security.” Secrecy and surveillance are the hallmarks  of tyranny, and that’s what Slotkin and Rogers both deliver.

Inflation, Spending & ‘Untouchable’ Entitlements – Rising prices are the natural result of out-of-control spending – whether on so-called “defense” spending, Medicare, or Social Security entitlements. Neither candidate will consider any  meaningful change in this unsustainable habit. To them, the job of the tax-cattle is to shut up and obey.

Business & Government Monopolies – Each year, agencies churn out thousands of laws that make products and services  more costly. Most schools are government-run monopolies that yield dismal results. Even when governments claim to  help, they raise costs – as in the case of student-loan guarantees for higher education.
