Pres Release — Saginaw Valley State University Colludes with a Republican SVSU Professor, Democratic Whitmer Appointee, the League of Women Voters & Tax-Funded NPR/Michigan Public in a Tag Team Effort to Ban Libertarian Candidate –
Libertarian Party (LP) candidate Ali Sledz recently discovered that a candidate forum was being arranged between Democrats, Republicans, tax-subsidized Saginaw Valley State University (SVSU), Saginaw County League of Women Voters (except for one women voter), and NPR/Michigan Public, the infamous communications cabal that kept Michigan voters away from vital information about the now infamous Covid scandal that inflicted so much damage on Michigan’s economy, student performance, businesses, families, and on the state budget as a result of massive unaccountable payments to individuals and businesses.
“It’s the same people doing the same things, year after year,” said Ali Sledz, a Midland resident and mother of three. “They never learn, never change, and are never held accountable for the results. That’s what got me to run.”
“A January Gallop Poll showed that 45% of US adults—a record high—identify as political independents. And that tendency rises to 54% and 56% for Millennials and Gen Zs. I’m running for them–the young people, their parents and grandparents, and the other disenchanted voters who are willing to cross party lines to support me, The Accountability Candidate.”
Born in Michigan, Ms. Sledz received her Bachelor of Science from Central Michigan University and returned to Michigan in 2018 with her husband of 16 years, who is in the US Army Reserve.
“I was saddened by the way Michigan citizens were treated during the Covid scare. It’s not okay to suppress information and violate the most basic human rights. The contentious atmosphere generated massive Big-Pharma profits and a huge transfer of wealth away from middle-class earners. And nobody was held accountable!”
“I didn’t want to sit around complaining—even though I’m pretty busy with my family and working on my Master of Science degree at Oakland University. But the major parties have no incentive to change. For example, many voters crossed party lines to elect Donald Trump, but now they’re disappointed by how he betrayed many of his campaign promises. Well, I’m not going to do that. I don’t have special-interest donors to please. So, at the Libertarian Party’s convention in January, I accepted the nomination to run for the long-vacant 35th District Senate seat.”
“I understand why voters are angry about rising taxes and fiscal irresponsibility. Even worse are the outrageous payments and insider deals with data centers and other industries that fail to benefit local workers, use massive amounts of water, and then dump it on us in a polluted condition. And to top it off, there’s the irony of the League of Women Voters sponsoring an event that excludes the only woman running. The point is that if I’m paying taxes to a local university, I’m not going to keep silent if it excludes me.”
For the next month, supporters of Ali Sledz will issue a series of detailed press releases. Each of these will expose different issues and some surprising personal conflicts of interest among the activist staff of Saginaw Valley State University as well as members of the Democratic and Republican parties involved in the 35th District Senate race.
