Special Elections
Michigan’s first special election, in recent history, to have an alternative to the two old parties in the primary, will also be the state’s first Libertarian Primary! Greg Stempfle has written about it here: https://gregstempfle.com/2017/04/04/greg-creswell-and-the-adventures-of-third-party-primaries/
Gregory Creswell is running uncontested.

1ST State House District
Gregory Creswell
The reason I wish to represent Michigan’s First District in the Michigan House of Representatives is to help from within to defend liberty and to defeat political oppression. We-Libertarians-defend individual rights and the free market. Freedom needs external and internal support to defeat government incursions.
Michigan must eliminate tax burdens, as well as burdensome regulations, in order to compete with other states in attracting business investment. Only when we compete through providing greater liberties and freedom shall we develop a strong state economy. Put simply, Michigan must get out of the way of business.
I will campaign in defense of individual rights and the free market. Which means, if I am elected, I will seek to completely repeal the No-Fault law, deny politicians access to our income and support Constitutional carry gun rights.

During the March 8, 2016 Michigan Presidential Primaries there were 3 Special Elections to fill empty State Representative seats. The Libertarian Party of Michigan was proud to have candidates running in two of these districts.

80TH State House District
Arnis Davidsons
I am 58 years of age and reside in Martin Township on the same family farm where I spent my childhood. I amvery proud to call Allegan County my home. I grew up here, raised 4 sons and retired here. While I have lived in other areas of the great State of Michigan, West Michigan has always been my true home.
I am in no way a career politician. My campaign is entirely grassroots and strictly for the people of the 80th District. Like very many here, I am very unhappy that we currently have no representation in Lansing nor am I happy with the choices being given us. This is the motivation behind my campaign.
