Registration has opened for the 2026 Libertarian Party of Michigan special convention to be held on January 17, 2026 at the H Hotel, in Midland.

You can also choose a full package for $130 which includes Business session, Lunch Buffet with Affiliate Training Session (w/ Evan McMahon), Libby Awards Dinner Buffet, Post-Convention Mixer, and a printed convention packet. These items can also be purchased separately.
This convention will have a dual purpose, and will combine the selection of delegates to the national convention with a candidate nominating convention for the special Senate election in the 35th District.
Any residents of the 35th district who are interested in being considered as a candidate for this special Senate election can contact leadership@michiganlp.org.
The convention also has the purpose of members selecting national delegates for the 2026 Libertarian National Convention, which will be held In Grand Rapids, Michigan on May 21st-25th.
Local groups are currently selecting delegates to vote at the state convention on their behalf. Click here to find information for your area.
In order to become a voting delegate at a state convention, a person who has never been a member of the Libertarian Party of Michigan must become a member at least 30 days prior to a state convention. Click here to join the Libertarian Party of Michigan.
