Notice of 2025 Libertarian Party of Michigan Regular Convention

The Libertarian Party of Michigan is holding its Regular Convention from Saturday July 19-Sunday July 20, 2025, at Blue Water Convention Center at 800 Harker St, Port Huron, MI 48060, with business beginning at 9:00am. As always the business only is Free but we recommend purchasing the Full Weekend package and staying onsite at the hotel to make sure you are able to enjoy the entire weekend. A block of rooms is available at the Doubletree by Hilton hotel in Port Huron and a code will be posted shortly. To register and purchase your package go to the www.michiganlp.org website.
Available registration options are:
- Business Only (Free)
- Business with Printed Convention Packet- Packet includes all reports and agenda ($15)
- Full Weekend- Includes printed packet, 2 breakfasts, Banquet Dinner, 2 drink tickets ($110)
- Saturday Breakfast Buffet featuring assorted muffins, breakfast breads, croissants, seasonal fresh cut fruit, freshly brewed coffee, orange juice, and water
- Saturday night Banquest Dinner featuring braised beef brisket (slow cooked with red wine and root vegetables), chicken piccata (lightly breaded chicken breast with lemony butter white wine sauce topped with capers), roasted garlic mashed potatoes, green bean almondine, strawberry spinach salad: fresh spinach, blue cheese, pecans and cherry maple vinaigrette.
- Sunday Breakfast Buffet includes scrambled eggs, sausage links, breakfast potatoes, croissants, and seasonal
fresh cut fruit.
Business Items
Per LPMI’s Bylaws (https://michiganlp.org/bylaws/), the Regular Convention includes (but is not limited to): election of all LPMI officers, updates to LPMI’s Platform and Bylaws, and this year the consideration of the previously convened Investigatory Committee’s report.
Delegate Eligibility
All delegates/alternates must be dues-paying members of LPMI, and nominated by either an affiliate or the unaffiliated region in which they reside. People who have never been a member of LPMI or the national LP must joint LPMI at least 30 days prior to the convention, by 11:59pm on June 19, 2025 to be eligible to vote. Prior LPMI members and current national members may pay $25 to renew their LPMI membership as late as convention day, prior to the start of business.
