The business session* will call to order at 10:00am to consider the following business:
- -Elections of candidates to appear on the State of Michigan ballot for office to be held on 11/5/2024.
- -Election of Libertarian Party of Michigan Treasurer.
- -Conduct caucuses for District Representative to the LEC for District 7 based on 2023 Congressional Districts (reference https://www.mcgi.state.mi.us/districtlocator/). *There is no cost to attend the business session.
The convention package will include a full hot breakfast buffet, a delicious Indian taco buffet lunch, breakfast speech delivered by Libertarian Party Presidential nominee Chase Oliver, and lunch speech by Joseph Solis-Mullen, author of “The Fake China Threat: And Its Very Real Danger.” Registration is available for the convention package or business only.
Non Business schedule will include a Friday welcome reception at 7pm in the Casino lounge followed by Karaoke at 8pm- details HERE. After business on Saturday there will be a Bar Crawl starting at 7:30pm- details HERE

Breakfast – Chase Oliver, Libertarian Party Presidential Nominee
Chase Oliver’s campaign for Georgia’s hotly-contested U.S. Senate seat attracted national
attention, leading Rolling Stone to dub him the “most influential Libertarian in American.” He is a
passionate and energetic champion for the rights of all individuals against the growing power of
the state. This 38-year old is bringing the energy the duopoly will have a hard time competing
with.
Lunch – Joseph Solis-Mullen
Author of The Fake China Threat and Its Very Real Danger, Joseph Solis-Mullen is a political scientist and economist at the Libertarian Institute as well as a professor of history at Spring Arbor University. A graduate of Spring Arbor University, the University of Illinois, and the University of Missouri, his work can be found at the Ludwig Von Mises Institute, Libertarian Institute, Quarterly Journal of Austrian Economics, Journal of Libertarian Studies, Journal of the American Revolution, Isonomia Quarterly, and Antiwar.com. Delegate Eligibility
All delegates/alternates must be dues-paying members of the Libertarian Party of Michigan. People who have never been a Libertarian Party of Michigan or National LP member must join LPMI 30 days prior to the convention, by 11:59 pm on June 20, 2024 to be eligible to vote. Past members whose memberships have lapsed may pay dues to renew their LPMI membership as late as convention day.
